Professional teaching team of Gardening Technology

Brief Introduction: Gardening technology major is one of the key features of the teaching reform and construction of SHAFC. The professional teaching team has 16 teachers, including10 full-time and 6 part-time teachers, and the overall teacher title structure, academic structure, age structure are reasonable. Full-time teachers graduated respectively from different well-known colleges and universities of agriculture and forestry such as Beijing Forestry University, China Agricultural University, Nanjing Forestry University, and Northeast Forestry University. And there are 8 double-professionally-titled teachers (occupying 80%). The professional teaching team of gardening technology has high academic level with advanced conceptions of teaching and educating and good abilities of creativity and sustainable development.

At present, based on the practical training base and the university-enterprise cooperation platforms such as Qingqing Toursim Company, Shanghai Jingyu Landscape Construction Development Company, Shanghai Morning Star Horticultural Company, this specialty implements the talent-cultivating mode of schooling-working combination and school-industry cooperation and has accomplished 3 Shanghai municipal-level excellent courses:Garden Trees, Landscape Planning and Design, and Flower Production Technology, of which Garden Trees has been built into the national fine course. The professional teaching team has presided over 12 research projects with provincial level and ministerial level and published 15 textbooks as the editors in chief and deputy editors,  got one national 1st prize for teaching achievement ,one patent for national utility model and one prize for excellent teaching materials for the national agricultural institutions of higher learning. The promotion effect of achievements in scientific and teaching research is remarkable, such as the innovative project of New Varieties Breeding and Germplasm Resources of African Lily was specified as the exhibition project by Shanghai World Expo.
