The Department of Landscape Architecture and Technology has two majors: Gardening Technology and Landscape Architecture Design. The major of Gardening technology is a key major of higher vocational education of the State Forestry Administration and a characteristic major of Shanghai. It has won the honorary title of "Shanghai Municipal Teaching Team". The number of students in this major is about 500; Landscape Architecture Design is a new major, which has been enrolled since 2017.

At present, there are 21 teaching staff in the Department, including 3 teachers with senior titles and 19 double qualified teachers. At the same time, more than 20 experts and technical personnel from industrial enterprises are employed as part-time professional leaders and teachers. The teachers of our department have accumulated rich experience and materials in teaching and scientific research. "Garden and Trees" has won the national excellent resource sharing course project. In addition, it has obtained more than 30 scientific research projects, compiled 15 teaching materials and published more than 100 papers.

The Department has sufficient practical teaching resources with 12 experimental training places, such as professional studios, garden drawing training rooms, garden manual drawing rooms, landscape design training room, garden design training rooms, plant modeling training rooms, village and town landscaping engineering training fields, and environmental art design rooms.

The department focuses on school-enterprise cooperation, and cooperates with many garden institutions to explore long-term industry-university-research cooperation mechanisms and talent training models. And the students of this department have repeatedly achieved good results in the National Vocational Skills Competition and the "Star Project".
