Professional Teaching Team of Horticulture Technology

Brief Introduction: Horticultural technique specialty is a key feature of the teaching reform and building of SHAFC. The teaching team has 12 full-time teachers, including 7 teachers with vice-senior professional titles, 9 with master degrees, and all the full-time teachers are “double quality” staffs. Another 3 teachers are agriculture expert service members in the Grassroots-Serving Movement of One Thousand Experts” conducted by Shanghai Municipal Agricultural Commission in 2012. 10 part-time teachers have been employed, including the State Council Special Allowance winner, industry experts and enterprise first-line technical staffs. Full-time teachers work with part-time teachers and its professional title structure, academic structure and age structure are reasonable.

The team has undertaken 7 provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, published 35 papers in the core journals, obtained one project for Shanghai authorized varieties and won the 1st Prize for Shanghai science and Technology Progress. They have published 15 textbooks for higher vocational education as the editors in chief and deputy editors. The team has built 2 Shanghai Municipal-level excellent courses: Gardening Plant Protection and Flower Production Technology and 4 college-level excellent courses, 2 college-level project courses. The team has written comprehensive practical training teaching material: Gardening Plant Protection”, Flower Art, Flower Production, with the characteristics of the combination of school and industry.  Four guide teachers have ever been awarded as Excellent Teachers and one teacher wonShanghai Municipal Awardfor Talent-Trainingin 2012.
